Recently Indian Govt reduced the EPF interest rates. The latest EPF Interest Rate is 8.25
Indian finance ministry asked to labour ministry to fix the rate of interest to be paid to EPF subscribers at 8.25% for 2011 to 2012 year.
Until now the paid EPF is 9.5% in 2010-2011 year, The decrease in EPF interest rate may directly and indirectly effects the around 5 crore above employees in India.
